there's no samples, only synths
the first few seconds are clearly different....it's kinda hard to explain what i mean but i think Mariah's parts sort of overpower the beat....as i said, i can't really explain it.
I think you're off to a good start with the beat, but overall, it doesn't sound that much different from the original. I'd still give you my vote anyway, because there are a lot of remixes that don't deserve to be higher than you...
I still think you're weird for saying your remix is made of chocolate or ice cream though... =P
hi terrell, like your idea of giving the song a darker and smooth mood. intersting piano lines. 1hr and 30min is not much, so i think you did a great job in that short time. i would have been curious to listen to your final version. best wishes and check out my version if you like to .
I like your remix. The strings and stuff in the back completely changes the mood of the song, like almost makes it sad. I think it would've been cool to explore that more, maybe play around with the vocals. I think we're both representing for the people that went the mellow route with their mixes.

Hey Terrell - Nice piano work in your remix! Especially in the verse - it gives the song a hint of mystery, and the last chord before the chorus (the suspension chord that resolves) builds up a nice tension to lead us into the chorus. Nice compositional work and ideas! Kudus! - Spikey
listened to your mix. Given the time you had, it's pretty amazing. loved the strings and piano. some harder sounding snares would have made it a bit better, just some constructive advise. Gave you a voted though.

some good elements; i like that piano hit at the intro, thought u were gonna build the song on that! beat could be harder, it sorta floats under the keyboards. the keyboards are nice overall, good luck in this impossible contest!

Terell....alright here is my opinion if you dont mind. Overall you got the concept of being on beat and find the right chords. You could use some more diversity in your music. Your melody's are very simple. Wilf is right about the 2nd string chord. it doesnt go to good with the vocals. You need to think of something off the hook crazy. People are always looking for new stuff. Alot of mixing and matching. It's not bad at all, but you can do better, just keep working hard. Take a listen to mine and see how much diversity i got in there..this is not just for the vote, i mean it would be nice but listen to how much i mix it up from bass,beat,melody, and vocals. http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/2758

OK Terrel here we go. I like the piano and the strings. the 2nd string chord doesnt go perfectly well with the vocals but the rest of em do. beat is nice but could have had some more definition. vocals are well up front in the mix. the arrngement works for the song although it's not a hit concept. good work and this is mine
