I've been playing guitar and writing songs since 1997. Only of late has my song writing started to reach a level I'm happy with and my guitar playing could always improve but that's just practice (and time to practice!) and I'm satisfied with where I am for now. My focus in coming months will be on production - getting all the pieces sounding good together.

I've been thinking about spending more time devoted to music and joining this site is part of that journey. I'm going to put some feelers out there to see what others think of the music and if all goes well I may give up the day job and devote myself to what I actually love.

Music should ideally earn me money if I want to give up the day job but for now I'm happy to meet up with anyone keen to have a jam and see where this road takes me. I'm new to New York (fresh out of South Africa) so am keen to experience as much of the music scene as I can.

I also hope that the Indaba (yes, this word comes from South Africa - I actually had to take Zulu at school for a while) community will be able to lend me some assistance in taking my music beyond the "guy-sitting-at-home-strumming-a-lone-guitar" stage.
