Ping ponging back and forth between Montreal and Toronto, jackson d. has been building a name for himself as an experimental hip-hop producer and musician. With influences ranging from electroacoustic composers such as John Cage and Pierre Schaeffer to hip-hop artists such as J Dilla and Atmosphere, he employs a unique blend of organic vinyl samples, electronic sounds and field recordings. With various independant releases under his belt, jackson d. continues to play shows throughout Canada and create music, while studying Electroacoustic Composition at Concordia University in Montreal.
