Mr. Brown has successfully planned musical concerts for various gospel choirs and one for himself. In his first concert, held in Durham, North Carolina, he had more than 250 in attendance and was overwhelmed with accolade and praise from his audience requesting his music on CD. He directed all aspects of the conert including backup vocalists from local and remote locations, coordinating musical selections and assessment of the target audience, creation and arrangement of background soundtracks, requirements planning for equipment and rental of equipment, sound engineering, and publication of concert programs and marketing. He planned special seasonal concerts and others for various choirs and individuals, including Praise II, Voices of Praise.

He has performed as one of the opening artists for a reknown gospel artist Vickie Winans for a special benefit concert. Other acts include performing as a member with various quartets, choirs, and world reknown soloists to present artistic works from Hanel’s Messiah in the memorial auditorium in Chattanooga, TN, to weekend church service events.

Mr. Brown has successfully performed as a pianist/keyboardist for various church choirs in many performances for conservative and very contemporary audiences. He has accompanied musical groups for congregations in the Baptists, A.M.E Zion, Seventh-day Adventist, and Church of Christ denominations. He also made considerable contribution to the teaching of vocal for SATB choirs and instruction on singing.

Providing music direction and leadership, Mr. Brown has been successful in planning, and coordination of musicians, choirs, and concerts. His leadership included negotiating musician fees and contractual arrangements as well as addressing and managing issues of noncompliance, compensation, and procurement of music services.

He has provided piano instruction as well as fulfilled the role of music teacher in the private school sector. Instruction was provided to facilitate learning by students with average learning capacities, special learning needs, and adults. Teaching plans and methods were developed and adapted to teaching techniques from industry recognized curriculum. Mr. Brown introduced his students to musical instruments, styles, composers, and musical diversity using creative learning methods within an international context, and coached more advanced students on thematic expression, performance, and technical methods. Really dig how you laid those vocals back a bit towards the beginning. Nice reharmonization also.
