Owner of Ficalora Music Productions, Liz Ficalora is a drummer, educator, producer, engineer and arranger. Liz has years of musical experience as a Nashville drummer, teacher and producer. In the year, 2007, she produced The Paint Sisters with John Carter Cash, worked with 10 songwriters, drumming, producing and engineered 25 song demos.
This year, 2008, Liz has performed, produced, engineered and orchestrated 3 album projects and worked with 8 songwriters producing 30 songwriter demo’s ready for music row in Nashville. As an educator, Liz teaches drums, percussion and piano at Forks Drum Closet, Nashville, TN. and private homes. She currently has a full roster of students.

In 2007, Liz created and released a new drum charting system. She has developed a method and authored the manual “How To Write a Fast and Easy Drum Chart” which is getting attention from Modern Drummer Magazine. In June, 2008, Liz published a website www.easydrumchart.com. A successful website to sell her method to dedicated drummers who want to learn how to write a drum chart for cover and original music. She is currently working on an ebook of the method that will include video instruction for each step of the method. Her future plans include writing an advanced drum charting method book, How to Tune and Record Your Drums and a Music Testing Program for Children. All of these ideas will be developed and designed to be sold on the internet in an ebook form.

Just recently in August, 2008, under Ficalora Music Productions, she built and published a new website for her company www.betterthanademo.com. This website is dedicated to songwriters and artist who need help producing their music for publishers and record labels. Better Than A Demo fulfills her passion for playing the drums, producing, engineering, working with computers, arranging and orchestrating.
These websites are just a beginning of her passion of work with musicians and her dedication to helping others with her skills.

Liz is native New Yorker and graduate from Boston’s Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor in Music Education and has earned a National Award for her jingle composition for Maxwell House Coffee. Her underscoring and composition work has appeared in the documentary "Preservation Works" produced by the Massachusetts Historical Society and the movie “Richard II,” directed by John Farrell.
As a drummer, her extensive travel includes touring with Stella Parton and world travel as a drummer and arranger for the Carnival Cruise Line. Upon returning from the seas, she then became the Choral director for T.W. Hunter Middle School.
In 2004 Liz opened Ficalora Music Productions, a new digital recording studio in pursue of a career as a producer, engineer and session drummer. Her vision for the future focuses on producing, engineering and arranging album and song productions for artists and songwriters. Her company has expanded globally through the internet to reach all professional and inspiring, artist, songwriters and musicians.
As a teacher, she will continue teaching inspired drummers and promote her original drum charting method worldwide.
