Jehiah is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout his 15 years of playing the saxophone he has developed an eclectic and versatile range of playing while studying under Ahti Muallah, Michael Dean, Joe Muscolino, Holly Haddad, Alan Michaels, Marc Solis, Dave Stambaugh and Alex Lopez. Along with his extensive saxophone teachers he has studied arranging and composition with Nathan Tenoya, legendary arranger and guitarist Joe Lano and pianist for “The Family Guy” Dave Loeb. Throughout his music career in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas he has played in and led many music groups. Since High School he has always been at the top winning the Louie Armstrong award, the Best in Jazz at Southern Utah University, winner of the Salute to Youth Concerto Competition playing a stunning performance with the Southwest Symphony and playing in the finals of the Kingston International Concerto Competition. He completed his BA in music performance from Southern Utah University in 2004 and just received his MM in Jazz Composition from the University of Nevada Las Vegas during which he played many performances in large venues around Las Vegas including the Bellagio, the Rio, the Blue Note Café, and to House music in the Tao lounge in the Venetian. During his career he has played alongside greats such as Chris Potter, Joe LaBarbra, Bob Shepard, Gerald Wilson, Bobby Shew, Joe Lano, Dave Loeb, Bruce Paulson and Tom Warrington. Most recently Jehiah played in the modern Cool and the Gang band while sharing the stage with Fergie and Coolio in the Venetian grand ballroom for New Years eve 2008.
