Hey, I'm Allan Blanks and I welcome you to my profile. Right now, I'm new to the indaba community but I look forward to doing cool things, meeting talented artists and having fun. I was given the nickname "Mastermind" which I digg. I'm talented, clever, and an imaginative composer/arranger who enjoys telling stories through music. At an early age, I felt a strong desire to create music. By my teen years, that burning desire compelled me to teach myself how to listen, play and create original music. My influences are Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Yanni, Tim Janis, Chicago, Lionel Richie, Prince, Michael Jackson and Barry White. I love to create epic songs with a cinematic feel and incorporate touches of r/b,pop,rock, and hip hop. To close out this section, I love music, I play from my gut, and I'm happiest when I'm able to share my talent with the world.

Thank you kind sir! I appreciate your kind words. I will take anything I get, but I am not quite as talented as yourself! But thank you. Just when I thought I was hopeless you lifted my spirits with your kind words. Thanks.

Timmy C. wrote on November 8, 2009:

Wow! Well, thank you kind sir! I can't compare to your talent, but I'll take anything I can get! You kind of changed my opinion of the people on here..I was getting discouraged at the feedback, being none, but you brightened my day. Thank you! I guess I shouldn't worry what others think so much, just as long as I know what I got down deep is good, then the rest should surely follow. But I'll try not to be caught up in determinism. I still have to create my being, or mold it, shape it...if that makes any sense.

Thank you for the great comment, it made my day when I read it this morning. Keep on keepin on and always do what you feel, at least thats my philosophy.

Thank you for your comment bro. that meant alot to me.
if you're ever interested in reading a good paranormal romance, please visit http://www.trinamlee.com, where vampires seduce the night & werewolves tear it apart.
"Trina's Trailer" was written as a book trailer for "Once Bitten".

Thanks for adding me and taking the time to write me on your past experiences and influence of TJ. Everything that I have ever heard from his recordings I appreciated and liked. This is the exact same about your works:) I feel blessed to meet you on Indaba!

Chris Fewell wrote on September 17, 2009:

thanks alot for the compliment dude. I really haven't had a need for this place because I joined a band and moved out to Texas so I'm not looking for other work anymore. But I really appreciate you telling me that, I've gotten so used to just being a member of a group it's good to be reminded that I've always made good stuff on my own. How's everything going on your end? Anything on the rise?

Jacob H. wrote on September 10, 2009:

Thanks a lot for the compliments & for taking your time. I'll submerge myself in your work shortly :)

Lewis Gaston wrote on September 9, 2009:

Thank you very much for your kind words. I appreciate that you listened. I'm also glad you felt the meaning of the music. I'm completely self taught so it's good to hear from fellow musicians.

I will indeed be listening to your stuff today. Looking forward to it.

By the way, if you're interested, I do have a few more pieces of music on Youtube. It would be cool to see what you think of them too. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=LGaston84&view=videos

Thanks once again, and 'Peace' back to you :-)

Hey man, thanks for the comment. I can tell that you actually took the time to listen to both tracks judging by your comments. Also, I listened to your tracks as well and they are amazing man. I can tell just by listening to them that you have experience in orchestra and playing that genre of music. Anyways, keep the good work up man and maybe we can collaborate some day soon!

Thanks and keep in touch,

cheers for your kind comments Allan. The voice on the tracks isn't mine, (I can't sing to save my life!!!) it's the result of collaborations with great people. All the rest is mine though, and the real hard part of my music is to find the vocal talent that will suit my tracks. See you around!!

Appreciate the positivity and thorough feedback! It is always interesting to read your colourful comments on other peoples work. They are as elaborate and carefully thought out as the music you create! There is a new track called Fallen Soldiers that I feel could benefit from your touch. let me know if you are interested.
