About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Instruments:
acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, keyboard, midi controller
Genres:
reggae, cajun
Influences:
Bob Marley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones

When I was born I was very young, but I soon learned the value of THE SQUEEKING WHEEL GETS THE OIL. I played that platitude like a vintage 1950's Les Paul. As I got older I realized that people actually expected me to WORK for the things I wanted--WHAT A CONCEPT!!!. My early music influences were: Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie,Pete Seeger etc...Later the Beatles and the Stones kicked in as well as Bob Dylan. I am retired navy, somewhat of a recluse, I like hats, I'm single. I live in the boondocks, cu's I value my privacy. I love the animals, and I feed the racoons orio cookies. I try to eat healthy and get exercise--at my age (67) that's important. I would urge young people not to take their health for granted and start eating right and getting exercise as well. Any song or piece of music if done right will point the listener in a SPIRITUAL direction. It doesn't matter what the lyrics are saying, it is the feeling, the pulse, the rhythm. chuck

Extended

Favorite Lyric:

"My way of joking is to tell the truth - that's the funniest joke of all" Don King (famous fight promoter)

Day Job:
sit on my butt and watch the tube
