actually yes, today we r moving the studio into a brother's house, but since it's someone else's stuff, it'll be hard to get in the house whenever we want to compared to when it was in its own building. But, i haven't forgot you, I've also been performing the songs i've already got, you should check out my myspace!

Thanks Benz for the nice trip with Stevie...i love his music I got a few older records of him but this song i didn't know..

With the remix you are right something is missing in the chorus i made the decision to keep it dark thinking the vocals are enough but after listening to it now i feel too that something is missing at the chorus...
anyway hope its enough to win the contest but there are some creative dudes and Remixes that make me feel the opposite. I think i should have been gettin deeper into my skills to make it sound more like "never heard before"...hmmm fuck lol...

Thanks for your comment and your wishes man...How ist Jazzanova Remix workin? they extended the time to 15.1.2009...good for me because i'm still workin on it.

Hey what's up? I'm done with my remix for the final round. I'd like for you to check it out before I submit. I respect your opinion. I would need an email address though. Hope all is well.

Hey Redz & Benz! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner - when I got your comment I voted, but didn't have a chance to give you any feedback. Really chill remix! I love the beat underneath, it's got a subtle intensity that I can't put my finger on, but keeps the track moving a long, as well as all of the synth work throughout. Very nice balance in the verse with the vocals - it keeps the listener's attention focused - and very cool percussive elements as well with the glock/bells effect. Nicely done!! I should be posting a new remix by Monday, so I'll let you know when it's uploaded! Thanks again for reaching out! - Spikey

Hey man thanks for the kind words. Caps Lock was originally intended as an instrumental, but I'm open for suggestions... any ideas on vocals?
My initial intentions on joining this site was just to do some remixing, because it's something I love to do, but who knows where it could go from there. We'll keep in touch, I shot you a vote for your Criminal Mix, I have a soft spot for DnB, haha.

Like the beats, nice n tight, gave you a vote so hope you do well...... I didn't actually know about this comp but My beautiful 3-month old daughter ensured I was a busy boy anywayz, I might still do a little mix "posthumously" for the sake of something else to stick on the profile. Reckon I'll prob go drum n bass on this too. I'll send a txt your way if/when I get it done. Good luck B

i never really got into Drum n Bass, but your Criminal remix makes me dig it. Dope production

* Djordji wrote on November 15, 2008:

Sorry for the delay Benz,
I just listend to your track and man its always nice to feel London vibs with drum n' bass. Dum n' bass never got captured by mainstream. And it's nice to see that it's still there.

good big bass, good breaks, maybe to much klischeein in choosing the Sounds but doesn't matter because it sounds good. I would have been glad to hear more wood in the drum sounds and a little more mixed in the face. In the chorus i think the drumloop had to sound more laid back because it feels a little hectic. but the biggest challange in this Contest was it to put chorus and Verse in one flow.

I think drum n' bass was a good choice to realize the Remix because it fits most to the intellactual vibe coming from the Roots and its still street.

I see you got a good chance to get in the top 25. i hope you gonna make it.

Greetz Djordji

p.s.: Nice pic man and greetings to Redz
