Gorgeous! Have you ever listened to Joanna Newsom? She does some really cool things with the harp in a more singer/songwriter vein. "Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie" is especially fantastic.

Simon Spalding wrote on May 15, 2007:

Interesting music! I've worked with harp-players (mostly playing Irish, Scottish, or Breton music) from time to time over the years.... I play a Welsh instrument (the crwth) which is a bowed lyre; it's interesting to combine with harp. I used to come over to France (Britanny, Burgundy, Alsace) once or more a year to perform, but I don't travel as much since my wife and I had our twins. It looks as if I may be performing at the "Celtic Nations" festival in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA in October... I can put you in contact with them if you are interested. Did you by any chance ever know Arnaud Maisonneuve, a guitarist and singer in Brittany? He was my best friend in France... sadly, he passed away in 2005. Best Regards, Simon Spalding (e-mail: fullersteaching@yahoo.com)
