Bio:
fascinated by the guy who produces the soundscapes in films, wolfgang schubert developed an early interest for sound and music. due to the possibility of playing in bands at school he became active in several bands by 1992. playing and singing his way through various wave and grunge influenced guitar bands a visit to england in 1997 brought him onto another track. bristol's downbeat and drum and bass scene was at its best. after some visits to the clubs at st. paul's. wolfgang decided to exchange his guitar for a sampler.

1998 was the time for his first release appearing as a a remix of pontius pilatus’s, "i'd like to go the circus." an attempt to combine punk with remixing attitudes.

1999-2000 wolfgang made his way to northern ireland to connect with the local underground scene, also playing as a samplist in the group "feedback" of the queen's university of belfast and playing solo live gigs in clubs.

2001 a vinyl release on 001_rec followed. "underwater wonderworld ep" combined downbeat and drum and bass with song writing.

2001-2003 was the time for various live experiences with musicians under the name “loop-o,” or on his own behind the laptop. majors pit stops were: komfort, dead end, dachstock, outdoorbeats in berne, artemis in geneva, frison and cafe xx in fribourg, cafe mokka in thun and the crescent arts center, vicos and the menagerie in belfast. last but not least the neonbar & kibag in zurich.

since 2002 wolfgang also worked as an independent media man, providing berne with its weekly dose of electronic music together with dj ramax on radio rabe (former bewegungsmelder radio now wellensitten).

2003 became the year wolfgang got into netaudio. extending his internet media influence he joined audioasyl.net and started his radio show “musyche,” mainly playing music from the netaudio scene. a release in november on subsource.de (sub053) in the form of a recorded live set played at the street parade-side-party kibag made his music available to the www-people.

2004 set in with extended live action together with michael schwarz on e-drums. the live duo schubert & schwarz will be hopefully on the road this year to combine the dj and electronica attitudes with the rock’n roll conventions, we all know by heart.

I normally do not do this sort of thing but wanted to take on the challenge of something different. Or maybe it was too much wine..... LOL
