I am an Irish musician living in Atlanta GA with a background in Irish, bluegrass, rock etc. I have played with everyone from members of Altan to Frank Tovey AKA Fad Gadget
- How I Work:
when I am not with the band I tend to just play around with ideas on the guitar first. But recently I have thought more about coming at it from a different angle, using any starting point from a bass and drum loop to a melodic string sequence and then find the rest of the song that way.
- Experience:
I have played in many bands over the years from straightforward top 40 cover bands to being signed to Mute Records with Frank Tovey aka Fad Gadget. My influences come from a strong Irish background, a love of roots music from all parts of the world and the cheesiest melodic tunes out there. I have produced music in Nashvlle including co producing Hands Across The Water, a 16 track collaboration cd for kids who were orphaned by the Tsunami. It featured everyone from Vince Gill, Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Jackson Browne and more.
