I've been a musician all my life but haven't played with other people in a very long time, and have never really collaborated on songwriting or arranging! I love all types of music and am a big fan of improbable genre-fusing. I'm down for working on any type of music with any type of person.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I'm just interested in meeting and playing music with other people, online and in real life. No ambitions of world tours, though I guess some fly-boys would be nice.

Experience:

I went to music camp, alright? And played in a fife and drum corps. Can't believe I just admitted those things to the general public. I've done a lot of bluegrass-Irish-folk jamming and played for an African drumming ensemble, and spent 6 months in Chile learning about traditional Latin American folk music. I started the banjo about 10 years ago, guitar soon after, and began playing out as an acoustic singer-songwriter type in high school. I've always had a hard time combining my love for punk/indie/hip-hop/etc. with my natural tendency towards country music...now I'm just trying to open up my style and fit music into a busy, day-jobby life!

Equipment:

Not much with a plug. Banjo, acoustic guitar, hollow-body electric (yum), random drums from around the world. My own voice. A nice portable digi-corder and an ancient analog 4-track.

Man, I keep forgetting about that 4-track... I'm pretty sure a billion giant D batteries and blank cassettes are somewhere on that list of things I owe you...
