The greatest Group to come out of Windsor, Ontario, Canada...ACADEMY, started and founded in 2003, was put together with the intent to represent the city of Windsor's multicultural and "border city" status. Known for their HIGHLY entertaining shows and fierce lyricism, ACADEMY has made a big name in a relatively short time. With write ups in the local media and tracks played in most of the clubs throughout the city, ACADEMY is taking steps to become the flagship group out of Windsor to introduce WindsorHIPHOP to the WORLD.... The group consists of "KAYYCE CLOSED"; Hailing from the same famed Maurice Malone's Hip-Hop Shop made famous by Eminem, D12,Slum Village, and Obie trice. A solid veteran in the Underground scene, Kayyce Closed has the credential’s to back up every vicious punch line that comes out of his mouth. "TRILLA"; A Windsor Hip Hop veteran, burst onto the scene many year’s back. Known by Windsor as one of, if not the best at spittin’ a Freestlye, Trilla can also hang with the best in hip hop when it come’s to writting a rhyme or lacing a hook. Trilla is an all around emcee, built for all hip hop’s roads. "J RENO"; With 9 Solo albums under his belt, versatility is the dominating quality of J Reno’s artfully violent hip-hop. He grabs the genre by the throat, infuses his own unique style, embraces diversity and challenges convention with his dangerous creativity. He ended 2008 on a tour across the U.S. accompanied by TRILLA with Psychopathic Records. "UNEEK WUNN"; Currently an artist with ACADEMY, however, his love of rap began much earlier. Growing up on the west coast, hailing from Washington, Seattle, he is known for his high quality lyrics and a smooth delivery. Uneek was a problem child and seemed to get into a lot of trouble. Rap was one way the artist was able to express himself. He dropped his debut album "Stereotype" in 2006, which brought him high praise and acclaim. "JAE CYPHE"; At age 20, Jae Cyphe has done thing's & reached level's as an Underground Hip Hop Artist, that seasoned veteran's havent even touched on yet. Cyphe has opened for his share of major act's along side J Reno & Academy with ultra-gruff delivery and menacing lyrics, this young'n has garnered the respect of not only his peers but artist more advanced in the game. "KRIMSON"; This voice box arsonist brings the wickedness to ACADEMY with his hardcore acid style. With 9 years in the game, Krimson eats, breathes, and lives HipHop. He dropped his debut Solo album "Let it Be" in 2008 with great reviews. "EMULOUS"; Agression - A word that goes hand in hand with the newest addition to ACADEMY. Emulous began his rap career in 2004 with Dub City promotions, storming through Ontario and Michigan with his smashmouth rhymes.
