About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Craft:
recording engineer, producer, musician
Instruments:
Guitar (All), Synthesizer (All), mixer, sampler
Genres:
blues-rock, experimental
Influences:
Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers Band, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles

I started playing guitar at thirteen when I picked up "The Beatles - Complete Scores".
I began recording at home a few years later and became infatuated with the process of recording audio.

Now, I produce songs using various programs like Pro Tools 8 and Reason 4 and have become very proficient in both.

Collaborating over the web is a great way to find new talent and produce something new.
I hope to contribute my two cents and turn it into... a million cents.

Working With Others

How I Work:

Usually, I produce my tracks at home in a semi-pro studio setup. Once I have a track I like, I show it to my friends and they put their ideas over it. Just like this site!
I'm very open minded but I always keep myself focused on the mix. That can be a good or bad thing. I'm very critical of my work so it helps to get constructive criticism from fresh ears.

Experience:

I played in a family band for about five years then got interested in recording. We played weddings, birthdays, high schools; it was a lot of fun.

I was in a project called Electric Limo Land.
I had the chance to record and produce tracks in some amazing studios owned by Paramount: Amerycan, Encore, Paramount on Santa Monica, to name a few.

I ended up leaving the band and began focusing on finding talented musicians in my area and recording/producing with them. I hope to find some cool people on this site.

Equipment:

Hardware:

- Behringer Eurorack UB1204-PRO
- Tascam Porta02MKII (for that vintage tape sound)
- Rokit 5 close-field monitors by KRK
- Digidesign MBOX2
- Studio Projects VTB1 mic preamp
- Studio Projects C3 condenser microphone (AWESOME!)
- American Fender Stratocaster
- Ibanez Talman fitted with Gibson '57 reissue pickups
- Marshall Valvestate VS100 head with a B-52 cab (weird combo, I know)
- MacBook Pro
- LACIE d2 quadra 500GB/7200rpm w/ firewire (pro tools must)

Software:

- Pro Tools 8
- Addictive Drums
- Reason 4
- Reason Drum Kits 2.0, Pianos, Abbey Road Keys
- Audacity (great free recording program!)

...and more crap I forgot to mention.
