Hi, I'm Alex, I'm 18 and I'm new to music production. Been making music for about 3 years now. I was just using samples and loops when i first started but then i started a music technology course at college and was given access to lots of different music production programs which encouraged me even more to start producing my own tracks. I still have yet to upload anything but it's coming!

thanks for the comments on my Like This remix. When you say my vocals are affected too much by compression what do you mean (i still don't really know what compression really does...other than bring levels up)? What's an indicator of too much compression?

I just want to better myself. I'm ok with getting out ideas but making it so others understand it and so it translates to the listener is where i have trouble...aka i'm horrible at mixing.

You first must make the sound a wav. file then you can import it into redrum or any sampler in reasons.
