Musics always been a part of my life-started playing the piano before I could read..Learned by ear-took some classes, went to some epically retarded artfag/music school and dropped out I mean COME ON classical's cool and all but I'm not sittin on my ass all day playing Bach. Not to serious bout it just enjoy it a lot, love working with new song ideas so hit me up if you wanna try something-I make music for the sheer pleasure of making music.

Yea I sleep with my guitars. The gf hates it. goo figure.

SOOO with that said check out my tracks to see if my styles what you're looking for, all of the parts on all the tracks are me except for funky jam (minime c. is awesome:) and the drum lines. I do a little mixing too with logic.

-->Also I started the Amateur recording group, you should definitely come by and check it out sometime ;)

Working With Others

How I Work:

Pretty laxed about things. I do all my stuff in 24bit so sound-wise my stuffs alright-It gets the job done. I can get the files to you in any format just let me know. Drop me a line if you like to give somethin a shot, just let me know what your going for; I'm best at vocals, bass and guitar.
Since I hate wasting time i'll jam to your song for a little bit and see if you like the direction i'm taking. Be as blunt as you need to be and remember that its YOUR song Im working on. I'll work around, changed some parts w/e and If you like it, i'll finish it off :)

Experience:

campfires, open mic, birthday parties, bowling allies, dj gigs, i'm hittin it big here. Don't take it all too seriously because a music scene really doesn't exist were I live outside of hardcore bands, hence why indaba is awesome. I've written a lot of songs though and recorded/mixed a few bands as well.

Equipment:

Rd300 Ibanez (bass) , keyboard (Casio), violin, MXL V63M condenser mic, an old dying guitar, Toneport UX2 and ableton live & logic, and skills :P

Pamela Dolly wrote on December 11, 2009:

Thnx David, I'm the same way. My site is more of an expression of me and a way to keep in touch, than it is a money making thing.
Creativity, in all its forms is such a beautiful thing- but it's when you share yourself with the world that it takes on it's own life, as it touches the hearts and minds of those you reach...

I'll check you out 4 sure- k?
I like all kinds of music and beats, something powerful, sexy and soulful is what touches ME the most.

Great stuff! I really dig "Just a thought(final...)" and "Bury You".
Wicked spicy bassline on "Funky Jam".
I think you are very well rounded at 18 years old.
Keep it up and keep in touch ! :)

Erika J. wrote on May 27, 2009:

Hey, by the way. You've got pretty good tracks here.
Thanks for help offer for my song.

Miles Thorn wrote on May 19, 2009:

Lol @ David...that's great, I actually don't know too much Nirvana aside from the big hits (Smells Like Teen Spirit, etc.), but Cobain's influence definitely runs deep out there. As for playing my song for your pals, that's just awesome, man, thanks, that's quite a compliment. By the way, the new track rocks! (as usual). I'd say Cobain's ghost is channeling through you, too :) Later.

Cassie W. wrote on May 18, 2009:

Hope your track recorded well :D

Randy Johnson wrote on April 19, 2009:

Thanks. Most of my recordings are one take and usually with improvisation. I am not a studio musician and play better live. Something about the crowd that I love. I'm trying to get some of my live recordings up to digital standards since I made them in the 90's with a Dat recorder set up with the sound system. The mixes are somewhat horrible and the gain was high. Your music is great also. I like the vibe your putting out in your music.

Miles Thorn wrote on April 16, 2009:

Dude! You got some killer tracks there (love that Funky Jam). Thanks for your comment about my track, it's much appreciated :)

Thanks man, good to see another multi-instrumentalist on here. It's cool to see people play every instrument part on a track.

Josh Bisher wrote on December 16, 2008:

HAHA thanks. Yeah will definately collaborate. Im into alot of the same music so. Set something up and send me an invite. Like the vocals, and definately the bass. Over all pretty good man! Peace- Josh

Samuel Coll wrote on December 16, 2008:

Thanks guy. I dig your stuff--you play from the heart. Keep on slappin' that bass.

Heidi Whurr wrote on December 15, 2008:

Wow David! You're clearly a very talented gentleman! You played all the instruments and sung the vocals? I really like what you do! I like the bass line in the first track in particular.
I absolutely love Funky Jam! Seriously funky! :-)
If I was hard pushed to find give you some constructive criticism I'd say that on track 1 and 2 your vocals are louder than the other instruments and possible all three tracks need quite a bit of production. But I think what your doing is brilliant and very well done to you! Keep up the good work!
