I write from emotions and my day to day experience. What I'm feeling at the time the first word or note of a song comes to me is where I begin. A lot of times I'm just walking down the street or driving in my car, and a song comes to me about something I see in the world around me... and myself.

I love innovation. I like creating something different with music and expressing what is everyone really feels, but can't find the words to say.

I have been singing for quite some time now. My father was in the military so I traveled a lot. I remember my first "performance." It was on an airplane when I was about 5! It was around the holidays and we were on a flight back to Michigan. The flight attendants came up with an idea to have a singing competition. I was the youngest person to participate. I sang " Silent Night." And everyone seemed shocked... I won the " airplane performance" ( as my family calls it), which allowed me to meet the Capitan, have dessert from first class, and a large soda to top it all off ! lol. And I have been singing and songwriting ever since.

I attend high school for music and had the opportunity to be signed to a label, but I turned it down. I guess I was afraid that if I started doing it for a living, I would not love it as much as I did...
Now, I know I should have put fear aside and followed my heart. My life is music.
