EJC

One of Southern California’s best and sought after producer and artist, EJC will continue to make your head bob, with his laid back club, R&B/hip hop sound he calls “Pomona Funk.” Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Pomona, California, a city like all cities that has its negatives and positives. EJC chose to take his lifer and music to the positive side, with influences from the old school like Quincy Jones and Berry Gordy and influences from the new school, such as Master P and Dr. Dre, which inspired him to creating an independent company called 247 Ent/Pomona Funk ASCAP, that consists of seven writers and EJC as the producer and master mind of the music.

EJC is no “New Jack” when it comes to the music industry. He has been a publisher with ASCAP since 1995. EJC excels as a studio engineer, keyboard player, writer, composer, and an arranger for Rap, R&B, House and gospel music. He has worked with various artists such as Tyrese, Troop, The Gospel Gangsters, Bad Azz, Silky Fine, 40 Glocc, Mushock,Fredo Starr(from Onyx) etc… and has performed in a list of shows, including International showcases as well as three ASCAP showcases.

EJC is strongly known for his expedient work in the studio. Creating his album in an eight-week time frame, he has written, recorded, mixed, and mastered his cd entitled “My Brothas Keeper.” This master piece contains a mixture of Street Rap lyrics, R&B smooth vocals; hard hitting club beats, and radio friendly songs that will get you out of your seat. This is just the beginning of EJC and his Pomona Funk Era, and there is much more to come.
