I'm a teenage musician recording at his home in Canada. I have no fallback plan if music doesn't go so well, but I think I'm pretty good at creating, remixing, composing, compiling, finding, archiving, and otherwise dealing with music.

If I'm told I'm not good in one aspect of music, I'll usually move onto another for a while until I can get my crap together. If I'm told I can't sing, I'll practice, come back, and potentially blow your mind. I hope so, at least.

I believe that right now, music is at a stand still. People are lowering their standards in music, making it easier for people to become musicians, and therefore it's harder to get signed.

I've been playing the piano for nearly ten years, and I'd like to think I'm professional at that. About a year ago I realized how much of an asset I'd become if I were a multi-instrumentalist, and with that, I picked up several instruments, such as the ukulele, acoustic guitar, and the resonator guitar (known better as the Dobro). I also dabble in various percussion (djembe, shaker, etc.), but I'm not very good on the drum kit, so I often use a drum synthesizer for that.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I like to jam with others, and do gigs alongside friends, and I may ask for help on a track, but Fusionsong was, is, and always will be a solo act. I am also not interested in forming a full-time band. A part-time duo would be fine, but I usually save those for my close friends.

Otherwise, solo, I basically play music at least once a day and probably record one to six times per week. I take forever to record one song, unless I'm improvising. Then there's no mistakes, just happy accidents.

Experience:

Seven years of piano lessons, nine years of playing. One year of guitar lessons. One year of mostly self-taught percussion, resonator guitar, and ukulele. I take vocal class at school, have been in the school vocal ensembles for five years, and singing even longer.

Equipment:

Yamaha Clavinova CVP-20
