Two-time Emmy® award-winner Michael Whalen is one of the most sought after composers and music supervisors in the United States. A veteran of over 500 TV and film scores, thousands of ads, numerous TV themes and corporate identity pieces, his music has been heard by literally hundreds of millions of people. Some of his best known work is the theme to ABC's "Good Morning America", music for "The Oprah Winfrey Show", "Inside Edition", hundreds of scores for PBS, National Geographic, Discovery, CBS, BBC, NHK, Disney, Hallmark, HBO and every major broadcast and cablecast outlet in the world.

Michael is also a prolific recording artist who writes and produces pop songs, ambient, new age, classical, and jazz music for a variety of recording labels and artists. His latest solo recording, "The Tree of Life", was released in January 2009. His just released holiday project, "Seasons of Light", features 15 all-new holiday songs sung by some of the best singers around; Paul Buchanan (of The Blue Nile), Alannah Myles, Julian Velard, Toni Childs, Ian Eddy (Leo), Kristin Hoffman amoung others. He is also a noted producer & arranger having worked with artists from Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim to rock legend Brian Wilson to Oscar winner Howard Shore to Roberta Flack. Michael recently completed the debut recording of crossover group Andiamo and their PBS concert special which has been seen world-wide.
