Hey Rikk! Got a new rock/metal mix posted called "Pendulum." It's for the Opie and Anthony Radio show on K-Rock/XM Radio. I called into the show and Opie actually said he loved my mix on the air, which is awesome - hopefully it'll get some air time soon. I wrote all of the music on the track, performed all of the instruments, and recorded, produced, and mixed it at my studio - Enjoy! - Spikey

Hey Rikk, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner - when I got your message I voted, but didn't have a chance to give you any feedback. Thanks for reaching out to me man, I appreciate it. The mix sounds niceee - cool flanging effect with the vocals in the intro, as well as throughout the rest of the track. If you'll be going back to tweak anything, I'd say perhaps bring up both the beat and the vocals a lot - maybe 5-7 dB or so each. My ears want to hear more of those two elements. I also think the remix could benefit from a hot bass line pumping throughout if you have the time. Anyway, just some food for thought! Other than that, it's all there! - just needs some volume rides. Nice mix, Rikk! Attacky piano in the intro/first verse gives the track it's character. Perhaps a little more mid-range in that piano sound to give it more body would help. Also, bring up the original piano stem in the mix. If you're going to go back and tweak it anymore, give the kick a lot more low end, like between 30-70Hz or so, maybe some attack too in the 8K-10K range. I didn't hear any bass in the track - but that might have been a creative decision on your part, which is cool. IBLULT Newest Reemix : I think the piano seems out of tempo. Your drum & bassline is great but it should be more bouncy to balance the song becos you are making the song a bit slow midtempo. More boom boom power u know what I mean..And u might wanna take out the piano & replace with something else? Its overpowering your drum/bass. I think thats about it.
