Hello to everyone here at indaba music.  My name is Aaron Cloutier and I'm an independent musician/songwriter/guitar teacher from the very un metal friendly state of New Hampshire.  I'm new to this site and though I'm unsure how this all works yet, I'm very ecxited at the prospect of potential collaboration with anyone interested out there.  Though I consider myself adequate as a guitarist in the genre's I write in, I believe my strengths lie in songwriting and composition.  (Feel free to stop by and listen to my demo's to see if you agree)  My musical background is rooted in metal but I have a strong appreciation for many different genre's.  

From the heavy:  Pantera, Sepultura,Slayer, Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Opeth, Cannibal Corpse, Mastodon, 

To the mellow:  Nickle Creek, Sonya Kitchel, Jamie Cullum, Opeth(again haha)  Bela Fleck, Days of the New

To the Progressive and experimental:  Frank Zappa, Mike Patton(Mr Bungle,faith no more, Fantomas,Tomahawk,) Secret Chiefs 3, Primus, John Zorn, The Mars Volta.....did I mention Opeth???

......You get the idea.  My rule is as long as it's interesting and gives you "That feeling"..........hey, I'd listen to Brittney Spears if she had substance to her music.....
