Even if Abigail Boslet didn’t know she would grow up to make music, her parents knew from an early age.
Abigail grew up in a quaint town near Albany, New York, inspired by her musical parents. Her father made a living as an entertainer, playing live shows as a one-man-band with his guitar all over New York and New England. Her mother was a soulful vocalist, singing Motown tunes to her while she was still an infant.
It wasn’t long before Abigail took interest in instruments. At just 10 years old, her parents bought her a three-quarter size guitar with plastic strings for Christmas. After that, she sat down with her father, several times a week, for a lesson. “I picked up the guitar, and never really put it down. When I got my first real guitar, with metal strings, I was such a cry baby. It took me a long time to really get used to it” she says.
With a lot of hard work and some influence by artists like the Beatles, Aerosmith, Gavin DeGraw, Bon Jovi and Madonna, Abigail started to it started writing original songs. She explains her style as “very informal” and would “happen to come upon a good chord progression here and there, and it just fit”.
In middle school, she joined her school’s chorus, band and orchestra, and would attend weekly group lessons for each at the school. Once in high school, she became part of many exclusive vocal groups and instrument ensembles, and soon started performing in school talent shows and local variety shows, playing guitar and singing well-known covers.
Immediately after high school, Abigail ventured out to college in Hawaii. “I was really scared to go to college. When I was there, aside from being homesick, I felt like I had kind of ‘lost my identity’, which is how I got the idea for the song ‘My Identity’. I was no longer in choir, or band, or anything I had known and was important to me, and I just felt like I had no purpose out there” Abigail recalls. It was then that she knew that she had a choice – she would either continue music, or leave it behind as a memory of growing up.
On her first break from school, she called upon local artist/producer Michael Hayes for studio time. “I knew he was the one that could help me pursue my dream. He is extremely talented and passionate, and I had always admired his dedication to music and musical projects.” A few days spent in Mike’s independent studio, and her first production, “You Will Never Know”, was born.
From then on, each break she had from school, she would record another song. While in college, she would spend all of her free time with her guitar. With more and more support, she continues to write music, working towards the completion of her first album, “Based on True Events” in 2010.

Wow
In your Bio's "Skill" , there is nothing "Semi" about your "Pro".
Simply Great Stuff.
Your voice is very clear and mature, specially considering your very young age. I like it.
