Hey people, my name is Austin White, I'm 18 and I'm a music producer/Artist/Enigma from Chicago. lmao.

I started producing my freshman year in High School when I was 14 after watching an episode of VH1's Driven on KanYe West. He's a really cool dude and he inspires me by basically being an older version of me. We're freakishly similar...

Anyway, event though he inspires me to try and be the best at whatever I do I don't try to be like him. My mom and dad both encouraged me to excel in everything creative and although we never had the money to get lessons or anything formal like that I made the best with what was given and I still do.

Moving to northwest Indiana from South Chicago was probably the best thing to ever happen to me. My mom and dad moved us out there when I was 8 and it was the first time I got to do simple things like go in the woods and actually stay outside past dark. I learned to appreciate all types of music including rock and roll, pop, metal, and all kinds of stuff. I think what makes a great musician/artist/person in general is to not have any bias. My music is a blend of everything I like and that inspires me.

Last year I moved back to Chicago and in the beginning my music was so so. Being in a cramped and damp basement for days at a time helped me improve my music ten fold and since then I'm still in my basement except this time there people who have actually heard of me and no my struggle. I'm in college right now, but that was only so that I have something to do when I can't think of any new music. Hopefully music works out before i graduate (if at all) so I have a way to pay back these loans. I'm not cut out for a 9 to 5....lol

I'm trying to start rapping but I don't have a microphone and I can't afford studio time. I'm an excellent writer and with it hopefully I can inspire people to lean toward making it safer in the streets instead of worshiping drug dealers and rims and shit. Not saying that all my lyrics are gonna be tree hugging/ save the whales shit but I'm just saying that there will be alternatives to gangsta rap stuff. I know there already is but we don't have enough. Right now hip hop is kinda in that "fresh kid" movement stuff and it's pretty cool but it's still not cutting it for me. Hopefully I'll get picked up by a company and really get a chance to change the sound of hip hop.

Besides being a musician I don't know, I think I'm a visionary. I know we all are but it's funny how when I make a song I'll start thinking of an awesome video to go with it. How the performance will go on stage, how the lights will flash on tour, what the people will wear. It's fucked up. lol

It's ridiculously frustrating too when after all that thinking jut over one song you know you have absolutely no means of doing it.....yet.

OK here's the Austin White future success game plan. lol
It helps me put things into perspective when I write it down.

1. get signed

2. pay back loans so that I now have no commitments besides music.

3.get in studio and hire a team of people to help me record and mix and master and stuff like that. did you know that over 60 percent of the songs I make don't sound anything like I want them to due to lack of equipment? fun fact...

thats as far as I can think at the moment cause I'm starving and I'm about to hit up a mcdonalds and go home.

My style is...ambiguous. That seems to be the best way to describe it. All the music on this page is just a little part of the music I make. To hear more please visit here:

David Glazier wrote on August 28, 2008:

Not sure if you uploaded the right mix. its doesn't have Mariah's voice on it. I like the track. My only critique is that some of the melody does not stay in key with the track. Just a couple of half steps here and there and it would be very pleasent. Nice concept! David

Do Your Best Austin!

Ben Crea wrote on August 27, 2008:

ok well austin you just need to man up and give some credit to vicky for her promoting skills.if you worked so hard to make your mix then you struggled a bit and hopefuly learnt somthing.

djRoman InDaMix wrote on August 27, 2008:

Thanks for your explanation. I'm really sorry if I got a bit angry, but I felt like that and couldn't contain my rage. Now I know what you were talking about and I understand you, but as you know, we cannot do anything more than promote ourselves to be listened and probably voted... some people asking friends to vote for them and some just asking to listen and vote only if they like it.. Anyways, we cannot do anything else than wait. I also voted for yours because I think it's really, really great. Thanks a lot for your vote!

Ben Crea wrote on August 27, 2008:

man u really showed your age there, and you shouldnt be so quick to put other mixes down austin , i still hear that chord progression move away from the lead melody in your mix. let vicky win. it is a popularity contest, indaba is trying to build new members so she must be bringing in truck loads for them .

Fingertips 3rd wrote on August 27, 2008:

Sup Blood u know shawn Cayse i did a couple tracks for him

djRoman InDaMix wrote on August 27, 2008:

Kids aren't playing dirty... Maybe people prefer to vote another remixes than yours... because nobody is forced to vote to someone they don't want to... That's the only reason... Maybe some votes are because they are friends, but I asked to be voted (speaking in my case) ONLY if they liked the remix... :)

Daniel B Vigil wrote on August 27, 2008:

Thanks for the vote, I appreciate it! It's only day one, we'll see how the 8 others go! Good luck to you!

Tassili Bond wrote on August 27, 2008:

Listen to me young brother. If people get their friends and family to vote for them it's not playing dirty. It's called promotion and it's part of the game. Furthermore, the music business is a dirty game. Everybody gets ripped off at some point. Everybody gets done wrong sooner or later. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get yours. Just keep putting your sound out there. You'll get where you're supposed to be. Do you know Chris Rob?

Matthias Stoecker wrote on August 27, 2008:

you´re right, but the problem is the Jury only want to listen to the voted top-10 (in my case). Thats not fair. They should listen to EVERY SINGLE REMIX, cause its hard work to make a professional Mix for ALL here.. Maybe we should write an Email to the Owners of this Website.

Ron D. wrote on August 27, 2008:

its ok that is cool we just have to do on the underground for now.... they going to know who we are eventually......

Matthias Stoecker wrote on August 27, 2008:

Done! I think you´re doing great work! Good Luck! I know about that Problem with the "Friends" here. Hope you Vote me too. c.u. Matthias

Austin, tight futuristic Mariah beat man. Check mine too. Hit me up.

Ben Crea wrote on August 25, 2008:

thanks austin, i remember liking your mix too. way too many entrants to that comp. they should have made the dates tighter. its just out of control.

Ben Crea wrote on August 25, 2008:

ok man , i cant realy give you timecode points , but there should be 3 seperate chord progressions. 1 for each section. like verse ,chorus, middle 8. if you go to your sytrus track with the pad. solo that and listen to it with the vocal it may help you . other wise id be happy to help with more specific times. its just that i am at work right now and quite busy. good luck and let me know how you go.

Ben Crea wrote on August 25, 2008:

hey austin, mate ive gotta say you have great sounds for this passenger remix. but your chord progression looses the vocal melody. if you make a few changes to the note data you can fix this realy easy. and yes your balance sounds great for flstudio. im an flstudio user as well.

Kem kemgmel wrote on August 20, 2008:
