Bam Dorner is a master of experimental sound collage which seems to be improvised. However, we can hear elaborate pieces of instrumental music.

Bam Dorner has been busy playing music for over 30 years now and has been creating complex sound carpets ranging from dreamily jazzy via ambient

and industrial Electronic up to free jazz.

He hardly ever makes use of samples, but creates his own complex sound bits

with the help of different sythesizers. The acoustically organic component is due to various flutes such as the traverse flute Joe Benson, piccolo flute, bamboo and Pan flutes , which all together causes a jazzy touch.

Not all of his tracks are as easily consumed as 'Movement in my Head' or

'Mount Juice'. Dorner is often fond of experimental performances , especially in

'The Blue' and 'The Black'.

It looks as if his sounds were spontanously arranged, but in fact it is metacul-

ous work that comes along with a relaxing atmosphere accompanying us while doing other work at the computer. It is after a while that we get aware of the complexity of his sound. That is interesting, indeed.

We are witnesses of a sound intelligenzia of a special kind, and it goes without saying that Bam Dorner`s music is nothing for people who like to shake their legs in the disco.
