I have no experience when it comes to playing in a band. I do have experience in recording, web developement, and music editing.
- Equipment:
I play on an Ibanez RG5EX1 series guitar, Fender Stratocaster, and an Ovation Acoustic/electric guitar along with a 120 watt Crate multi effects tube amplifier. When i Record i use my Digitech RP150 multieffects pedal and the freeware program Audacity.

Ok for the song we're workin on i think we should add a break down after the tempo change starting at 1:14.5- 1:17
Ever since I tried Addictive Drums, I just couldn't get enough of how real they sound. I use AD as a plug-in to FL Studio (which I was previously using in its entirely.... but it's like night and day).
Hey man, thanks for the suggestions. Getting the right guitar sound is a never-ending battle and, if that weren't enough, getting the sound you want RECORDED accurately is a completely different never-ending battle. Even with all of the amp-modeling stuff they have these days (like the DR150), I've always been a proponent of recording with a mic (versus recording direct). Call it "old school".... that may be true. I'll probably try tweaking my current sound rather than starting from scratch. I use an EH Metal Muff fed thru a Peavey Century head fed (at least in my office) thru a Kustom cabinet so there is a ton of variability in the sound I can get. If you get a chance, download the mixdown I posted at the link below (I'd like to take the "processing" that Indaba does on the uploaded files out of the equation) and let me know what kind of adjustments (i.e. too much low end, not enough crunch, kill the mids, boost the highs, etc.) might get us closer to the sound you're looking for:
Thanx for droppin' in and listening Nathan! I have to admit, I love Metal but I'm not a big "thrash" fan. Your taste is a bit heavier than mine, but I can appreciate the fact that you sound good doing that style. You need to get a band together, you have good ideas and clearly have something to offer to hardcore Metal.

alright just wondering tony said hes probably going to up load his track Friday.
