Ok so here's the deal...
I'm from the urban metropolis Edmonton, I make music out of samples. I do play real instruments, violin, guitar, keys, but nowadays I'd much rather steal bits of audio to warp and combine into something new.
I released my first album in December 08. By "release" I mean I handmade hundreds of CDs, graffitti cases and all, and left them in music stores and coffee shops around the city. It got some radio play and a small but hilarious write up in the local arts magazine. The album is still available to download for free at my website: www.baronzann.com.
Since then I've learned so much that I don't even like listening to that album so much, but I'll leave it up for posterity's sake. I'm in the process of honing my craft and collecting a fuckload of new samples from all sorts of sources so I can one day complete a new disparate post-modern masterpiece...
Anyways, I make beats too sometimes when I'm bored. If you're a dope MC who wants beats, hit me up. I put some of my electroish beats up, not really indicative of what I normally do, but whatever, the synths and handclaps seem to get people's attention.
PS: Check out my Colbert Remix, it made it on to the Indaba Promo CD and I personally think its hilarious.
- How I Work:
I use my computer. I have instruments that I can play, but why do that when I could just steal samples of someone better?
I'm interested in working with vocalists, MCs or singers, other than that though, I'm pretty self-sufficient. I would be interested in learning and sharing ideas with other electronic music makers, though.
- Experience:
Well I've played in a few bands, funk, punk, rock, jazz, etc. I've done some musical theater too. I used to play violin in an orchestra.
- Equipment:
Laptop and software.

Hey could u please take a listen to my new remix Da Game Been Good To Me (New Zealand Remix) with UGK.
I think I did a good job on this, definetly worth a listen. It's a song made for a remix contest for Jamglue. It's basically a diss to fake MC's who are destroying the game, I mention a few underground MC's who fall in that category as well (Kidology, Infect and 3shot).
Tell me how u feel, harsh criticism will help me grow as an MC so feel free to point out flaws

Thanks for your comments on my CM remix.
Had lots of fun. Did it all last night. This morning re-listened and there are some sections I wouldn't mind tweaking. Not sure if I can re-submit at this point though. New to the site as of yesterday :)
Thanks again,
Pedro
hey man, thanks for showin love on my profile and trouble mix, appriciate the support bro!
Jeeeez, Baron. Make a girl blush with a compliment like that!! Your SEX POP is seriously wicked beat - that whole mix is ridiculous. I love it!! If you have any more laying around like that, lemme know....
Hey Baron!
Thanks for stopping by to say hi. Some great stuff here. I have NO idea how to get the sound you get. The sound is so present and immediate...nothing washed out or limp. Even the slow stuff makes the heart race! GREAT job on the Colbert thing too!
David
contributing his tracks, he seems kind of (too) straight, missing comedian aspects, but to say this apple is only red on one side, might be heretic. thx for your vizit Baron ;)
real inspiring, erich zann in a deep sea divingsuit. quite hooked on your RED smoking skeletons and your colbert entry_kudos.
Thank you, I like Imaginary Hellos. The energy is just amazing.
