Although New Jersey born, beatsbanging moved to New York with his family at an early age. As a child he was surrounded by music in the comforts of his own home. His parents were involved with music as early on DEEJAYS performing on a mobile basis. Harry began to use the in bred musical talent at five years by playing snare drums in the drum and bugle core in BROOKLYN NEW YORK. Realizing the potential his parents purchased him a six piece drum set and sent him off to his room to practice. After exploring the possibilities of rhythm Harry began searching for a much more melodic voice to express his musical vision. Harry took lessons playing the trumpet during the grade school years as part of the public school music program. Like many talented people Harry heard more than one voice and wanted to express much more than a monophonic melody. At about the same time Harry D also began his career as a Disc Jockey landing his first paying gig at age 10. Harry D also joined a steel drum ensemble around the same time again part of the NYC school system music program where he learned to play lead pan and double tenor. Our group entitled "NY STEEL" completed a full length live album and completed a 10 city tour ending in Indiana's College for Music. Now in his early teens, the new sound of HIP HOP was taking birth, following in the footsteps of pioneering deejays of this new genre.
Harry D began concentrating his time on the art of turntabilism cutting school and losing sleep to develop his skills. His dedication and hard work once again led him to many paying gigs as a mobile and club dj.
With a musical talent and skills in turntabilism Harry D began experimenting with music production with rappers and singers. Since then HD RHYTHM has been working in the studio honing production skill while providing music for an array of independent record labels and underground talent on both coast.
