Bio

I am a songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, guitar synthesist, and producer. I am a musical chameleon of sorts able to navigate in just about any genre. In my own productions I gravitate toward infectuous afro-latin rhythmic content . Stylistically I would describe my own material as World Trop Pop.

To keep the light bill paid I write as much as possible for TV/Film/Media licensing opportunities. I am always open to collabing because catalogues grow faster when there are multiple writers involved. If you are a hardworking serious songwriter,composer or lyricist and you have the perspiration to match the inspiration I would love to hear from you.

Being a guitar synthesist (Roland GR33 synth controller) enables me to reproduce almost any instrumentation via samples.

My approach is to use the available technology to produce as natural and organic sounding finished songs as possible.

Overview

Available to contribute individual tracks or produce an entire song or album. Rates negotiable depending on the project. Being a guitar synthesist I can reproduce any instrumentation that is required as well as vocals. Paypal is accepted

Experience

25 years songwriting, producing, as well as being a recording artist. I have produced many projects for independent artists of all genres. I love producing so contact me if you are interested in putting the Ben Evolence tweak on your productions.
I started remixing in December of 2009 when I entered an Indaba remix contest. I recieved an honorable mention in the T-Pain contest as well as the Raheem DeVaughn and Peter Gabriel contests. In May 2009 I was fortunate enough to be selected by the band Weezer as one of two winners for my remix of their song "Love Is The Answer". Weezer will be releasing an EP with that remix as well as several others they chose as runners up. I am looking forward to co-writing with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer once the band finishes touring. I recently finished producing an EP of 60's classics combining bossanova with spoken word. Ben is definately The Musician's musician.. extremely talented and with a rare gift. He brings a special quality and sound that adds that extra 'something' as well as a professional attitude and a great sense of humour. WHEN I FIRST JOINED THE SITE ( INDABA )......HE WAS THE GUY WIT THE RAINBOW ESQUE , HAT, AND SILLY FACE, ON HIS PROFILE PIC........THE FIRST ONE I EVER SEEN RATIONALIZE ANY CONFUSION THAT MAY HAVE BEEN TAKING PLACE ( ON THE BOARDS ).......BUT MOST OF ALL..........HE WAS FIRST PERSON TO OPENLY WORK WITH ME ,WILLINGLY, BASED ON HIS INSTINCTS, AND NOT OFF OF MY STATUS..................

No insult to the other 499.000 Indabians here, but Ben is and has been one of my most favorite musicians and people, right from the start. He is a good soul and his philanthropy makes the world a better place every single day.

If I had to sit here and describe his talents, I would be here all day. Ben is a gifted musician with music that has soul and emotion in it, you can feel Ben's music.

Working with him is a pleasure, his warm demeanor and his abilities and willingness to teach and mentor, makes it all a great experience. Ben has inspired me in my real life and in my music, he is also an idol to me.

one of the hardest working people on indaba. when looking for an artist to compare mr.evolence to i always think of joe zawinul. although mr.evolence is a guitarist and not a keyboardist his expertise when it comes to world music is top notch. keep it up man!
