About Me

Skill Level:
Amateur
Instruments:
Guitar (All), computer (mac)
Genres:
blues, jazz blues, alternative country, psychedelic, irish, classic rock
Influences:
The Doors, The Pogues, Van Morrison, The Allman Brothers Band, John Lee Hooker, Gillian Welch, The Velvet Underground, Soil & "Pimp" Sessions

For me it's strictly for enjoyment. I don't aspire to perform professionally - even if I thought I had the skill to entertain an audience - nevertheless, I really enjoy the creativity of making music and recording.

I'm using Logic Pro on a mac to record - I'm pretty well equipped for recording and mixing - and I'm recording covers mainly - any song I like the sound of. I've started to try to write my own stuff. I find I can get a good groove going - or write some good lyrics but I struggle to put the two together.

I would love to collaborate with a talented keyboard player and also a female vocalist for covers and original stuff.

Hi Pete, thanks much. There's more of that on www.elftones.com, and at cdbaby.com (Elftones), if you're interested. Enjoyed your tracks, too--particularly Arizona Sky (need more of it!).

Very chilled out Pete! I really like your new track it has some gorgeous melodies and harmonies which work beautifully together. The arrangement is lovely, not too much going on at once yet enough to hold my interest.
Very well done, I really enjoyed listening to it! Where did you get the name from?

Thank You Pete.
I appreciate the feedback. It has been a while since I've done anything with this song. I had a B-A-D cold when I tried to sing "My Jesus" Not that I sing well to begin with, but my vocal range was definitely limited at the time.
As for production, I know it was bad. I had no good equipment.
I had at one time considered re-posting this song by a different title and minus the lyrics and see what becomes of it.

Wow! Your track is very short but what there is of it is excellent mate! Your production is crisp and I thin the panning you've used works really well. I'd love to hear more of your work!
I think the atmosphere you've managed to create is very clever it makes me feel chilled out and relaxed I really like it mate! Keep up the good work!
