About Me

Skill Level:
Amateur
Craft:
songwriter, lyricist, visual artist, game designer, writer
Instruments:
electric guitar, computer (mac), computer (pc), voice (male), voice (female)
Genres:
rock, electronic, metal, Indie, video game, soundtrack, instrumental, Pop
Influences:
Copeland, Amorphis, The Cure, Bjork, Koji Kondo, The Smashing Pumpkins, Gackt

I'm a transgender songwriter in the Bay Area, originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I'm going to school for videogame art and design, but music is a passion of mine as well.

When I first started playing guitar and writing music I was into metal, but I have since moved on and now prefer other genres. A lot of those old influences still shine through, though.

Extended

Favorite Lyric:

From "Shoreline" by Deas Vail:

The shoreline calls the sea
For simple words and company
But words go on and on
Til they collide and all is gone

I dive into the deep
Into the sea inside of me
To find another song
To find a place where I belong

Day Job:
Art student

Working With Others

How I Work:

I can help with lyrics, melody, hooks... I'm also looking for musicians to record parts in my own songs (vocals, bass, drums).

Experience:

I'm not a pro, but I love writing songs.

Before I transitioned, I recorded two CDs of gothic metal under the moniker "Ater Draconis" and made over $4,000 with no advertising (or intent to make money, really) and extremely lo-fi equipment. That was just out of high school, and I've been at it ever since.

Equipment:

iMac, Johnson guitar

Thank you for the kind words. Very nice music for a Sunday morning. I like. And speaking of cheap, my first muti-track was two regular sony cassette decks...lmao...
