I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 12 years and just started getting back into electric guitar (although it feels like a totally different instrument to me). I am also a songwriter and singer, but there hasn't been nearly enough time to work on music since we founded Indaba in 2005... Someday I'll get back to it seriously. I compose, record, produce, and perform with my good friend Peter Yoon (check him out on the site) and have been doing so since we met in high school. We play a mix of acoustic and electronic music and we like to work with people who are musically diverse. Even though he just lives a few miles up town we've been using indaba to bounce ideas off of one another so that when we do get together we make the best use of the time...

I am really impressed by the people involved.

Dude, your website is genius work! I'm so glad to have found Indaba Music. Good songs too. I like "She moves"
Hey Dan, saw an interveiw with the chemical brothers. They said that they record 12 months of any and all media.. Sample it and write a new album. Nothing is new, it is just the way you present it. Start sampling, everything.....lol
Hey Dan, just to say thanx one more time about the AK3 contest, do u know when my stuff is arriving? Hugs.
I'm just going to have to say it... I'm jealous of your Ninja logos. How much to get one? I'll make sure Alex bakes one pie per week If I get one.
Hey Dan. We are working on a single I think you might like. Let me know what you think. I am so happy this site was created. It has opened many doors for talented musicians to collaborate!
You're even sexier on the television than in person. You'd think it's impossible.
I'm off to Argentina on Sunday. I hope to create some sort of musical meat blog via Indaba while I'm there. See you in the summer, cheers.

Hello Dan,
I'm just stopping by to say hello. Hello. Joined up the other night. I keep hearing about this Colbert fella. Is he a big record producer like Mutt Lang or Quincy Jones? I've never heard of him.....rofl

It's definately the ultimate instrument for picking up the song to a happy feel
Gotta say I love the banjo.....Reminds me of the New Pornographers
Hey Dan, I'm realling loving what you're doing musically. Your acoustic driven songs, have inspired me to get better and better on my acoustic guitar, since I've just recently started lessons. I love the overall mood of all of your songs. Very Musical. Great Work.!
Off course the choice of the judges can not make everybody agree, there will always be haters.
But, personally, I'm happy of my honorable mention and I wish all the best to all the constestants...
anyway, everybody won notoriety in this contest...I was really fun to do !
Peace

Well, I pulled every stop, sent out 2000 fan emails and I'm at 88th place. I want you to know, I didn't do this for the 5k but for a job opportunity. So if it is possible to meet with the labels for engineering/mixing job....please let it be known that I would be interested. Thank you for creating such a awesome opportunity.... this has been a lot of fun interacting with more artists and I had a lot of fun doing something really different from my norm.
respectfully, David
