I put Eliza Gilkyson in influences 'cause I've played w/ her live & on recordings. My favorite music to play is driving, modally based, rootsy Americana with lots of percussion. I've been a full time musician (and sometimes actor) for 35 years. Before moving to Austin in 1992 I lived in a bunch of places in North America, from the great white northern parts of Canada to as close to the Mexican border as I can. People think of me as a fiddle player first, but I started as a flatpicking guitarist and I have plenty of unusual instruments around the house that I like to use for texture. I can play a little piano, too. I'm also in a play called "Woody Sez", mostly plays in Europe.

have to think about that one...

- How I Work:
At home in Austin I work for $65/hr, although since I'm just getting started on indaba, I'll work for less while the kinks get worked out.
I'm also interested in having people play on music I put up here. There's nothing better than good collaboration. You're welcome to send me your recording and I'll put something down for free, just so I can get started in this community. It's too great to pass up!
- Experience:
I've played on hundreds of recordings, I've lost count. Toured in a lot of different countries, had some amazing experiences.
- Equipment:
I've got a good byer mic, a boss br8, and (wince) garageband. I can get good sounds on everything, and I'm ready for help from people who have more experience in online recording.
