Working With Others

How I Work:

Obviously I record everything into the computer. I have been using Ableton Live since version 2 and I do everything within Ableton, I do remixing, live sequencing, and editing all in Ableton. I have two methods in which I typically work:
A) I loop, record MIDI, edit, arrange, work on sounds, etc and just let the sounds/rhythm take over and I let the track build itself.
B) Improvisation: i am a big fan of just playing sounds as a happy experiment to see what happens, it's amazing how you can capture some really unique things (but often rubbish too!). With Asymptote we sync up two M-Audios and run our own rigs that are mastered/slaved at the specified BPM..

I prefer mutual collaboration because you get into the Gyson/Burroughs "Third Mind" mentality which the end result is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Experience:

Remix work for various artist
Toured the United States and have played live.
I've been in bands signed to Invisible Records and Some Bizarre both were horrendous and I would rather give music away then go through labels that bleed the artist dry.

Equipment:

Ableton Live 7.0.16 with Akai APC40
M-Audio Fast Track Pro
M-Audio Axiom25
RedSound Darkstar
Bheringer DFX69
NintendoDS running glitchDS
a whole arsenal of VST's and Software applications..

Haha, I'll take that comparison any time! You've got a pretty damned unique sound yourself! We should engineer a 3rd Mind one of these days...

Thanx, man. You've been a good friend and an invaluable resource for Ableton. I'm glad Chris hooked us up. One more good thing to come out of MySpace...

I am open to exchanging remixes and just generally collaborating with people and exchange information. Right now I am really into Dubstep along with experimental industrial type of stuff and anyone else interested and wants to exchanges patches, loops etc I am interested in working with. My favorite VST's at the moment are Albino3, Massive, and Absynth.
I'm open to working with anyone, except I'm really not into House or Trance so sorry if that is your thing I just don't dig it.
