Working With Others

How I Work:

Usually alone, but really trying to put a band together in Nashville. I have a bassist and another guitar player, but really need a drummer and another guitarist that can sing. . . When recording tracks for others online, I simply use my home studio and create professional sounding tracks.

Experience:

I have been a singer my whole life - I am an experienced guitarist and bass player, and also have a great deal of experience playing piano by ear.

Equipment:

Korg Triton Le, Alvarez Acoustic, Schecter Bass, M-Audio Luna Microphone, Sennheiser Mics, ART Pre's, TONS of Midi Synths, Waves Mercury Bundle, Antares and many many other plugins. I run Cakewalk Sonar and Sony ACID, Vegas and Sound Forge for my recording/mastering.

Hey David!
Thanks a lot for your thoughts on my music! It is greatly appreciated, and I'm really honored that you like what you hear. I'm extremely impressed with the material you've got up on here, I even copped some of it on iTunes. I would be so into a little bit of collaboration. Although at this point I'm still more or less trying to figure out how the whole Indaba thing works, but I'm really excited about making some work happen on here once I do get the hang of it.
I'm forming a record label/artist collective right now that's also been taking up a lot of time and energy. Once I get the website rolling for that project, though, I'll have a bit of time to dedicate to full on commitment to the art, and I'd be so excited to have you as a contact.
Have you got any advice for me on how to get projects rolling here on Indaba?

David B. wrote on July 16, 2008:

Hey David, You can hear some of my engineering work @ soundmatrix.com , a large portion of the songs on the sampler were engineered by me, as for drums I've done quite a few projects, a band played for you can find on Itunes called "AfterMiles" this band was sort of a folk/acoustic rock project, Diggin your stuff it reminds me of imogen heap but different. Sweet Guitar licks, they fit nice.

Love your stuff David - both tracks have great rhythm that really gets me into them. You should hook up with a live drummer here on Indaba!
