Anurag is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Assam, located in
the Northeast corner of India and host to some of the world's most
beautiful natural landscapes. Traditional Assamese Folk Music inspired
Anurag to pursue his career as a musician, and no doubt has heavily
influenced the spirit and feel of his music. Some of the rhythms of
Eastern music may seem angular or arrhythmic to Western ears, but a
few listens reveal the complex structures and lexicon that have
developed over centuries. Also be sure to notice the timbres of the
percussion he uses, especially in "Anurag". Very beautiful.
