About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Craft:
arranger, producer, composer
Instruments:
midi keyboard, software, computer (pc)
Genres:
disco house, electronica, downtempo

I hooked on music at early age with my dad on some 80's pop and ragga music, but in the early 90's, Prodigy pushed me to the "dark side" (if U ask my dad, lol). Since then, I've done some spinning and now just want to be as PRO (regarding production skills) as I can get ... Loving music and feelings in general.

We felt that down tempo was not as marketable. We also DJ at 130 BPM, even if we don't win, we wanted a Dj-able mix. Most of our peers DJ at 130 as well. There was some distortion from time stretching up, but that's the name of the game. Thanks for the comment!

yo eomsy! glad u liked my remix. just listened to yours man. that is special!
love that jazzy/funky touch gave to it. hot beat. did u play the sax? it's very cool. at some points it sounds a bit too busy. some breaks would be cool. but still, nice work!

Hi there, nice job on the remix! Real nice use of the samples and sax, very chilled but moody too. Silky smooth production dude. Check mine out if you get a chance - all the best.

Spikey Jay wrote on August 28, 2008:

Wow, thank you so much for your comment EOMSY - I really appreciate it, and am so glad you enjoyed my mix! I wanted to bring Mariah in a completely different direction, one that could appeal to the Tween demographic that's buying out all of the Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers records nowadays, lol. I hope I've achieved that! You've got a sweet funky mix, EOMSY! Funk guitar chucka chuckas, badass bassline, and a hot, chill beat to accompany everything! That is some AWESOME sax playing as well, my friend. Such incredible musicianship on your mix! I'd love your vote on Friday when voting begins, if you'd like to vote for me! Thank you again for your compliments, and best of luck! Keep in touch! - Spikey Jay

Hi man , how ya doing? This remix of yours has a great feel to it, chilled and funky. Really cool. I also hear some funky guitar and lovely horns (sax). The bass fits stunningly. You have really arranged this well and produced an excellent version. Good luck to ya mate.
