Evo. Freez

The name's Evo. Freez; representative, co-founder of Homegrown Inc. w/ my brother Kava-1 and our best friend, DJ Stelos. We've been puttin' it down since about '02.

I started my raping with my brother, Kava-1 in the early-mid 90's just recording "mixtapes" over whatever instrumentals we could cop @ Fascinating rhythms (the only tape/record/c.d. store to in my hometown where you could find REAL hip-hop).

My first chance to really M.C. came hot on the heels of my first professional release "Itap records presents; Tales from the script." back in 2001. The "Itap family" was a group formed by my cousins along w/ my brother and I. This was where I got my first real shows (besides freestylin' in circles or on mic's @ local hall shows.) Eventually the dream of being a professional musician looked more and more like reality; it was undeniable we had somethin' for people to hear.

As fate would have it though the "Itap family" would soon fall apart in '03 after a semi-successful 2 year run. This would end up being a GREAT blessing in disguise as "Homegrown Inc." would emerge from the ahes of Itap records failure.

Originally established in 2002 by myself, Kava-1, D.J. Stelos along w/ Pud Fluff (don't ask haha), "Homegrown Inc." would start to make an impact on the scene seemingly as soon as Itap fell-off; one coinciding the other. Our Itap fans pretty much followed us to Homegrown.

We have had members come and go, but the foundation has never changed; Stelos, Kava-1 and Evo. Freez. We've had some very key additions to our squad; Jb1derful, Rebel Soul, Enlite, DNA a.k.a. YeahKarl!, Teus, Alex Cruz and P-shiggz. It is this current cast and crew that rep's Homegrown Inc. today. However we roll like a franchise and are always down to sign free agents that make the team better knaw mean?
