Working With Others

Experience:

At the age of 14 Steve Louis AKA Flashmanmc started to attend music
production and songwriting classes provided by Streetvibes Youth, a
music company providing training and services to the youth in
South-East London. Whilst he was participating in these courses he
realised that he wanted to pursue a career in the music industry. At
this stage in his life, he had already started taking guitar lessons
at school and private lessons for the keyboard.
Having decided he knew enough basic knowledge to continue on his own,
he left the Technics Music Academy with a London College of Music
Electronic Keyboard Grade 2 (Merit). As he was still actively
attending the classes at Streetvibes UK, he was learning to produce
music, write his own lyrics and rap to grime,hip-hop and R&B.
In November 2004, Steve Louis was 1 of 50 people to win the BBC Fame
Academy Bursary Award, which provided him with a sum of £1,200 to
purchase his own music and studio equipment. Shortly after in March
2005, along with some of the students from his school, he was invited
to attend a concert at the gracious Buckingham Palace and also meet
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This was one of Flash's highlights in
his music career as he was able to present his CD to her and gain an
article in the local newspaper!
He was still at secondary school in this stage when he grasped the
opportunity to take his music to the stage for the first time. A
Christian charity called XLP visted schools around London weekly and
were organising a talent showcase for lewisham. Flashmanmc started
performing regularly at the showcases and slowly started to develop
his skills as a musician.
It was in 2006 when he left school with 13 GCSE's A-C and performed at
his last showcase for XLP. This was a new stage in his life as he
decided to take up street dance and singing to expand his skills and
versatility. Flashmanmc started attending the Donna and Bonnie
Sullivan school for Performing Arts to develop his singing skills. In
his spare time he was also attending dance classes provided by Sacred
DC Entertainment. Several months later he received a phone call from
his previous school Addey and Stanhope enquiring whether he wanted to
run his own music club after school.Flashmanmc jumped at the
opportunity and it was then he realised he wanted to launch his own
charity to spread the awareness of music to the youth.
His first ever album as a professional musician was released on itunes early December 2007 titled ''L2DG-Light 2 Da Game'' in an attempt to make himself known to the world and not really to generate sales or income.2008 sees Flashmanmc taken a whole new turning point in his life, opening himself up to other upcoming artists to work on collaborations and also produce music for them, hoping to break into the fashion world having been accepted onto a Model Agency.. expecting to release a new single & video this year while also preparing to perform at more venues around London and the UK, Look out for this guy, he's making serious movements!
Flashmanmc has met a lot of established individuals in the music
industry and upon encountering with them they always question: "Why
did you pick the name Flashmanmc?" The reason for this name is that
Steve Louis wanted to "Bring light to the game,"speaking the truth
about teenage life, highlighting issues that have been in the dark for
a while and telling his own story of personal experiences.
At this present moment, Flash is currently a student and in the making
of his own enterprise, SnakeStorm UK. The name which is of extreme
importance to Flash, represents himself because he is a snake on the
chinese calendar and he considers it a very bold and dominant species.
The storm referring to his music career's objective, 'To take the
world by storm!'
SnakeStorm UK has the main objective of spreading the awareness of
music and helping the youth to embrace music in all areas. The
training and services we aim to provide are: Music Production,Music
Industry Structure,Songwriting,MCing/Singing,Dancing and a basic
introduction of the electronic keyboard. We are hoping to introduce
after-school clubs and run courses in communities to help out with the
youth and also support the extra-curriculum.

Yo Flashman Wudduup!! Im listening to your Mariah song right now. I think that the synth lines in your mix are quite excellent. the wooshes are just the finishing touch together with the pizzicato and the autotuned voice. pretty cool. Check mine too if u have time Mr Flash. All the best, Wilf
