Favorite Lyric:

Stay with me just for today,
Let your soul come and rest for a minute now,
Share your mind if you have some time, I would love to sit and talk to you.
I will wait if you ask me to but I won't stay here forever now.
I know your heart could keep me warm if you let me stay.

I feel that your eyes won't open
and these dreams, my heart I can't decieve them.
Maybe the moon will come down and save me
Maybe your eyes will stop me from falling
Oh, I'm drowning, yeah(x4)

What can I say? What can I do? Is there anyway to get through to you.
I'll put myself into your shoes and I'll walk around these streets of yours.
It's cold outside where you stay but my heart is not far away.
So take a breath and close your eyes. I want to hold you.

I feel that your eyes won't open
and these dreams, my heart I can't decieve them.
Maybe the moon will come down and save me
Maybe your eyes will stop me from falling
Oh, I'm drowning, yeah(x4

I haven't hearde toy town, will try and hunt it down. Logistics are the shiz. hopefully will be getting the nano soon. Which vst do you reccomend for drum n bass? I only really use zeta for synths and basses. would be more beneficial if i did it properly

Ishtar *. wrote on July 17, 2009:

usually around 170 - 175, what about you? I don't have any live instruments yet which is frustrating; looking forward till i get the nano keyboard. which program do you use? im a fruity girl =)

*answers own Q*
Nice job on the live mix.
Good sounding percs and i'm lovin' the dark feel to your tunage. =)

Ishtar *. wrote on July 16, 2009:

thanks, I have produced some yes; but none of it is finished yet. I am a bit obsessed with dubstep right now. I was actually thinking of finishing my cheesey jump up choon soon =) are you a producer? if so what sort of sounds do you play about with?

Anthony J. wrote on June 11, 2009:

As soon as I set up the desk and the drums and all that I should be alright to record some stuff and show it off. All in good time my friend, all in good time :p

Haha, it's really out-of-time stuff that makes sense because it's practically algebra. It does my head in but I love it.
Hows it going? The tracks you've got up are pretty sound.

Stella M. wrote on June 2, 2009:

No i didnt know about that, ill look it up though lol. I just got a dvd full of royalty free samples in a magazine and it had a retro game theme lol.
Thanks for listening to the music though =]

John A. wrote on May 30, 2009:

Probably not... we'll see though. Are you going to enter?

John A. wrote on May 27, 2009:

Yes, Cubase is geared for making new sounds. VST instruments were created by Steinberg, that software's manufacturer. I recommend the Native Instruments Kore 2 bundle for getting started with dance music in Cubase. We have version SX4 and soon upgrading to 5.

John A. wrote on May 23, 2009:

Sometimes... I haven't been up to date with their stuff lately. No More Tears - Tech Itch Remix was sick. Do you dj or go to shows?

John A. wrote on May 22, 2009:

Techy dancefloor stuff pretty much... Anything on DNAudio, BC Presents, Citrus, Renegade Hardware, Barcode, Contaminated.. Loving tunes from artists like Phace, Misanthrope, Noisia, Spor, Phobia, D-Bridge, Break, Masheen

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

The tubes totally add more tone... we have heard noticeably more saturation to the signal :)

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

BTW - I love hardware... My buddy has an EMX-1. I put some ECC83 tubes in it, sounding fun. Used to have an E-MU Sampler (E4 Classic and later E4X), KORG Microkorg, Alesis Micron and others. Right now I have this hand built 1 osc photo sensitive synth and a half broken EF-303. Hehe

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

I've also used Logic, Digital Performer, Pro Tools, Ableton Live and FL Studio for making dnb.. It's relatively popular in Seattle. I dj at several club nights now and then.

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

Those were all put together in Reason... Older stuff now I suppose. I really enjoy the freedom to be had with CV routing over various non-traditional things... such as Synth Lead LFO to Reverb Depth, EQ Frequency etc..

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

yes i used cubase to lay out the tracks from discection_160bpm stems and bumped up the tempo to 174, also added some extra drum layers. i think the bassline is still lacking though... needs more low end :)

John A. wrote on May 15, 2009:

Thanks man! Got it this time... The user experience here confuses me sometimes :)

Let me know what you think of that edit clip i uploaded....

John A. wrote on May 14, 2009:

John A. wrote on May 14, 2009:

Calvin M. wrote on March 6, 2009:

Well in relation to your first question, im not to sure, unless youre talking about using the sytrus or the wasp. I'm still trying to gain a better understanding with the envelopes and different oscillators, but I have a pretty basic understanding of it. And I have heard of absynth, but ive never had a cance to mess with it myself.

Calvin M. wrote on March 6, 2009:

well, i can only speak from my opinion, and since i started with FL5, its pretty much grown on me. I know that having a midi keyboard is a great idea with this program,(im still waiting to get my hands on one myself). But, i think its just up to your preference.
