- How I Work:
It's taken me a while to get my whole studio up-and-running, but it's finally done, so I'm ready to get down to business. I can record for sessions once a week on average.
- Experience:
I'm going to start this off by saying that none of the information listed here has been written for the purposes of bragging or gloating. I am by no means a cocky, self-absorbed musician-type, I just want to put everything I've accomplished musically on the table. Ok, here it goes:
I've been playing drums for 7 years now. I've played in a large amount of bands, and am very serious about pursuing music as a full-time career. I've performed all over the sunset strip and beyond, landing weekend headlining spots at major clubs like The Whisky, The Roxy, and The Mint to name a few, achieved a monthly residency at the famed Derby Nightclub with band Aurum Star, and recorded at the world-famous Village Recording Studios, where the studio's CEO Jeff Greenberg personally pulled me aside to commend my playing. Not only that, but several individuals from John Mayer's team approached me out of interest from hearing my playing from the adjacent studio. I've received numerous accolades from other industry veterans such as ASCAP executives, world-class recording artists (Peter Distefano, Walter Becker, Donald Fegan, Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller, Chuck Dukowski, Green Day, David Schwartz, Carmine Apice, Chad Sexton, etc), producers, engineers, publicists, managers, and probably more. Popular recording artists I've performed with include Aurum Star, The Chuck Dukowski Sextet (ex Black Flag), Lucy Schwartz, and 2AM Club.
I love Alternative Rock, as well as pretty much anything with a good groove. I play with a lot of power, but I also have a good deal of finesse. Though I'm a power player, I use a small jazz drum kit for ease of transportation and look.
I'm looking for musicians who are interested in jamming, recording, or forming a band that need a solid, professional drummer. The most important things I'm looking for in a band are commitment, dedication and drive. I really want to make this my life, so if anybody here is on the same page, feel free to contact me.
