A self-taught maverick jm is a native of San Antonio, Texas. Growing up surrounded by a musical family, jm's father was the proprietor of a local music store that was geared towards the professional and gigging musician. In this environment he was exposed to both analogue and the emerging digital music worlds. With the mentorship and reoccurrence of emerging music stars such as Steve Morse, the Electromagnets (which would later gain Eric Johnson fame), Sweet Comfort Band (christian singer, Bryan Duncan), and many more - jm would learn at an early age the expectations of musicianship and production.

Throughout high school jm played in various regional music groups to grow as a drummer, bassist and engineer in live and studio situations. After being accepted into the University of Texas - Communications Department, jm was recruited and left school to work at an advertising agency as a New Media Producer in engaging Fortune 500 Companies how to renew their brands using new technology and creating captivating content. Quickly jm amassed an umbrella of national work in radio, television and print for companies such as Coca-Cola North America, Miller Brewing Company, Jack Daniel's, and Wells Fargo. jm quickly moved up in rank left then his peers behind. After making a name for himself in the industry, jm left the agency career as a Associate Creative Director (which is typically grown into after 20 years of experience) and decided to concentrate in his music and production.

Prior to his departure from the agency, jm had been building and operating his own private facility after-hours and on weekends. Slowly he began to gain notoriety with local jazz, rap and rock artists as a producer/engineer. Embracing techniques and skills observed through various musicians and engineers', jm had found his niche in engineering, producing and as a composer.

Currently jm is a trusted live and studio engineer/producer in Texas and beyond. Having the opportunity to travel abroad, jm has currently found his brotherhood in his Canessua Production team.
