Kai Lavatai records dialed up boutique pop gems motored by heavy disco, electro-dance, and singer/songwriter influence. His work generously drips “austere modernism meets overarching pop sluttiness”
Kai Lavatai's motivation is fueled by the masterpiece works within the realms of Funk, Disco, 1960’s sunshine/baroque pop, early 80's R&B, 90's New Jack Swing, singer/songwriter, and Hip-hop.
- How I Work:
I can provide arrangement and production remotely, as well as provide vocal tracks.
I can harmonize and arrange around prerecorded vocals that have been recorded to a click track or I can develop original melodies to be recorded. If you are in the Bay Area I can also bring you in to record in my home studio. I can also provide lyrical assistance. I can also perform and record original vocals.
I prepare all work from my home studio and host project files on my server.
- Experience:
I've been writing songs and recording for over 10 years. I know what I like, but I am always learning new methods and styles. I love to work with others and coordinate around new ideas.

you sound like MJ somtimes, its kinda freaky. i have come close too just mucking around with mates over the years.
