Kimmy Marie

Kimmy Marie is 17 years old and is junior at Mount Vernon High School. She loves performing and creating music. She is a composer and a lyricist, as well as a performer. She loves composing more than performing. “Composing my own music allows me to express myself more than performing does,” says Kimmy Marie.

Kimmy has a fun and crazy personality, and everyone loves to be with her. And people working with her in music only have great comments about her talent.

Kimmy Marie has been musically gifted her whole life. She has been singing since she was 5 years old! Many of her friends and family love her talent! She sings in the school's Chorale and she is an active member in her church praise band! She plays keyboards and sings in the band. Also she has done many talent shows and musicals! In her school’s marching band she plays snare drum (her senior year in high school she will be the Drum Major), and in Symphonic band she plays percussion!

Kimmy Marie has a powerful voice and she can sing Country, Pop, R&b, Christian, and Rock. She has been inspired by the Christian groups, Jump5, Zoegirl, and Barlowgirl! She really wants to sing, and represent a recording company after or during college.

Kimmy Marie has been songwriting for almost 4 years. She writes lyrics and then composes them. She has also started composing piano compositions. And she wants to start composing orchestral and band compositions. Also she has her own music software, so she can create, edit, and record her music.

Kimmy Marie loves writing songs! She has great experience as a songwriter. She gets her topics by looking at the world around her, and just singing random words or humming random tunes! Some of the titles of her songs are: Broken Pieces, Crush, God Loves You, I believe, She believes that she's hated, You Are Here, You Knew, and more! She writes so many songs it is not even right to count them.
