Hey peeps! Just getting started here. Here's a brief bio:

My name is Kirk Quebe (pronounced Quay-Bee) and I've grown up always loving music. It's always had a powerful emotional influence on me, one I cannot explain. Music has always been where my heart is, and it's always brought me the most joy to create and play it. In spite of this, however, I've always pushed it to the side, telling myself that it's not a stable career choice and it might not bring me the income I desire. That is until now.

Just recently, I've finally realized that I am called to music, that it's what God has created me do, that He didn't just put all of my desires and passions into music for me to just push it to the side. Music is where my heart has always been and always will be, and I'm choosing to embrace that. Music is my love, and it's my life! I am eager to learn everything I can about music, which is why I am currently pursuing an education at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

I play the drums, guitar, keyboard, and sing, would love to learn violin, and am also decently familiar with programming in Reason 4.0, my synth software that I primarily use to create music. My favorite musical genres are Dance (electronic) and Rock (not screamo), although I typically like any music that takes some sort of talent to produce. (Yes, this means that I DON'T like most rap.) My goal is to get good enough at synth software that I'll be able to take Dance music and Worship music, and blend the two. Crazy, I know. But it will be awesome, trust me!

Favorite Lyric:

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Hey there! Checked out the tune, very impressed great job my friend!

Chris Conrad wrote on July 10, 2009:

Wow! I'm definitely impressed with your song...makes me want to quit on my own songs yours sounds so good, lol!

There are really only two things I think could make it better. First of all, the song was maybe a little long. I'm not all that familiar with the Dance genre and how long the songs are, but for me it seems like it could be cut shorter to 4 or 5 minutes. I was actually thinking the point where you hear only the piano around 3:40 would be a good place to end, but then I heard the last part of With You and thought to myself "This couldn't be cut out!" The only other thing I can think of would be lyrics. If you're planning on adding some, I would love to collaborate with you sometime.

Thanks for letting me be one of the first to listen to your song!
