About Me

Skill Level:
Amateur
Craft:
producer, composer, remixer
Instruments:
computer (pc), software
Genres:
electronica, breakbeat, chill-out, hardcore techno, ambient, techno, experimental, soundscape, soundtrack, ambient breakbeat, hard style, freestyle, dark ambient
Influences:
Jean-Michel Jarre, Hardfloor, Oliver Lieb, The Prodigy, Sven Vath, Front Line Assembly, The Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Slayer, Fatboy Slim, Biosphere, Aphex Twin, Afrika Bambaataa, Praga Khan, The KLF, The Grid, Front 242, Bad Sector, Iron Maiden

In 1987 I started my musical career in a metal band in age of 14. Our band played thrash/death metal about 6 years. I played bass guitar and vocals. I started making computer music about the sametime when I was rockin with my band. I made some tunes for computer demos in various groups. Novadays I use my desktop PC and some music software to produce some litle tunes. musical influences are cold northern wind and nature. Life itself in northern country. I listen many kind of music and influences come. I'm a music junkie. I don't like to talk about myself 'cos I'm nothing special. Just a weird old guy from backward country.

Ok I also like to remix and demolish others master pieces. It is one big reason why I'm here. Thanx to indaba for this great opportunity.

Band or Group:

Favorite Lyric:

The friends you thought
They never were
Egos and icons
They just don't care

You hope to die quiet
Laying in bed
It's better than pointing
A gun to your head

Front Line Assembly: Fatalist

I really do not have fafourite lyrics. This just came up to my mind first. Ok and I like to listen instrumental music and foreing music, so lyrics are not so important to me.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I use my PC computer with renoise tracker + few good VSTi plugins. When I'm highly motivated, I might get something to. I work when I can from my other duties. I am used to do alone. So that cooperation may be initially difficult, but not impossible.

I do not try to make commercial music, but mostly music that has never before heard. something unique and my own. Either you like it or you do not. I do not think I ever come famous or anything. I do this only for myself.

Experience:

I have been making my own litle tunes with my computer about 20 years now. I'm not pro, so I don't have much experience about gigs and big studios or hot chicks or big money. And never will.

Equipment:

computer (pc), keyboard

Hey man, I like what you've accomplished with your "computer art" if you will. Some of the stuff you're doing in your songs are mind blowing. I'm impressed.

Hi Jani, I'm Wilf L also known as HammaHOUSE. If you want detailed and honest feedback on your Mariah Carey remix, please let me know. In the past 2 weeks I have listened carefully to about 500 mixes and left my thoughts on all of them individually. If it's Impressive, you'll have my vote. If it's good, I'll tell you. If there is room for improvement, I'll let you know what's good and/or bad and if the mix just doesn't cut it for me.. well, I'll let you know but wish you good luck anyway! I always cherish feedback or comments on my musical works. That's the only way to grow as a musician. Please have a listen to my entry. If you think it's HOT and deserves to be in the top 10, give it a vote. if you think it's not, I'm happy that you gave it a chance! Here is the link to my submission. Have a great day and success with all your musical creativity! As you probably know, you can cast 1 vote for each mix you like. I'd be honored to have one of em. Hey Jani! Digging your tunes. Great soundscapes. I'm from Miami, but I visited Helsinki for a few days this summer. Where in Finland are you from?

If you have a second, I'd appreciate it if you'd give my Mariah remix a listen and vote if you like it!
