Playing guitar since 1980, I like to think of myself as a "texturalist" (the Jerry Harrison of the group). I've been cast in the role of "Lead guitarist" lately, but I try to fill any voids in the song. I still love playing bass and keys, although guitar definitely gets more of my time.

- How I Work:
Since I am a father and have a day job, I work at night, between 10 and midnight (sometimes much later if things are clicking along!). I record on a Roland VS-880EX, and I use my full live rig for recording.
I try very much to embellish a session; I'm not a prima-donna, I don't feel a need to fill every second with my work. I take direction very well. (Example, on a current session I've been asked to provide a "Blues slide guitar solo at 1:00". I'll DO that, but I may also submit something completely different, if that's what I hear.) My feelings won't be hurt if my tracks aren't used.
If you invite me to a session and I accept, I will do my best to get you examples/ sketches ASAP. First, I'll download the session, and I'll put it on my iPod. I'll listen a LOT, until I have a feel for what I may contribute. It can sometimes take a little time for an idea to really gel.
If I REQUEST to be on your session, chances are good that I already hear parts. In these situations, I may post initial ideas with a day or two.
If I'm on your session, I'm on your TEAM. I view the session owner's desires as my goal. I will do my best to give the composer what they want.
I will provide excellent communication. I return messages ASAP, and you will not be stuck wondering what's going on with me.
I do have other things in my life, but music is my PASSION. I'd rather not participate than go into a session half-heartedly or give less than 100% effort.
