I was turned on to Indaba through the Podcast Six String Bliss (www.sixstringbliss.com), and I've been hooked ever since. But I just realized that as much time and effort as I spend promoting Indaba on the Six String Bliss forum (as well as all the other forums that I participate in, and additional media like the Nefarious Bovine Radio Podcast at www.nefariousbovineradio.com) that I've never really promoted Six String Bliss here at Indaba.
I've been listening to Six String Bliss for about a year and a half. It's the longest running guitar podcast on the Internet, and it comes out nearly weekly. This is a truly fun podcast, and it appeals to guitarists of all skill levels, genres, and ages. This is two old friends discussing everything and anything about guitars. There is a Guitarist of the Week segment, as well as Guitar News. They've featured interviews with many big-name guitarists (John 5, Adrian Belew, Dave Martone, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Eric Sardinas to name a few), manufacturers (Pro Tone Pedals, Searcy String Works, Benford Guitars, Reverend Guitars, Studio Devil, Satellite Amps, Port City Amps to name a few) and other industry luminaries (like George Gruhn). They have an active forum community (available from the main website) with members from all over the globe (the US, Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and Greece all come to mind). Not only do they provide an hour of entertainment with each show, but they encourage audience participation in many ways. They read feedback from emails and the forum, play an occasional voice mail, and close each show with a musical selection submitted by a member of The Bliss Army (any listener can submit entries). In addition to all these outlets, they regularly release a FREE, downloadable "Album" featuring members of their community! Past projects included a Christmas Album, Stay Tuned (TV Theme songs), and Big Screen Bliss (songs made popular through movies). Coming up in October they'll be releasing a project of original compositions with a Halloween theme. Come on over and get in on the action!
If you're like me, and can't get enough of all-things-guitar, then you really NEED to check out this outstanding podcast! Tell them "Laughinglarry" sent you!

I've been telling the world about Indaba since I was turned on to it by the Six String Bliss podcast (www.sixstringbliss.com) but now it's time for me to share some amazing sites with the Indaba community.
If you like a wide variety of music, then you really owe it to yourself to check out Nefarious Bovine Radio at www.nefariousbovineradio.com. Twice a month the host, Sean White (an amazing multi-instrumentalist who just joined Indaba upon my repeated requests!) puts out a 2 hour show chalked full of amazing music. This is TRULY an eclectic mix - I've heard Edith Piaf to Frank Zappa, with liberal doses of Ambient and Noise (the current episode features a recently published Indaba song by Tim Risher called The Ritual of Dark - a collaboration which I am proud to have been a part!). Sean delivers not only great music - much of which will be new to you - but he has a very Brautigan-esque, stream-of-consciousness style that is almost as entertaining as the music.
Please drop by and give a listen, and if you like what you hear consider sending him some of YOUR music to play.
