LeShawn Daniel is a singer/songwriter and native of Louisville, Kentucky, who has been graced to put heartfelt lyrics to melodious tunes. Like most vocalists, he began singing publicly in the church, while at the same time pursuing a secular music career with a local Rap/R&B group called “TLN”. With such musical influences as Lauryn Hill and many others, he started a road in the direction of a classic soul sound. It wasn’t until his conversion in the turn of the millennium that he found his divine purpose in the message of the gospel that he was to convey to the masses of people that would come to know as he puts it “The Real God”. In 2003 he was privileged to be one of the writers for a Unityfest CD project, which was a benefit album for charity. Unityfest began as a concert that featured the likes of The Clark Sisters, Israel Houghton, Tye Tribett, Martha Munizzi, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, and many more but later matriculated into a city-wide vision to bring people together. The song LeShawn wrote for the CD was simply titled "Just Worship", and it was instrumental in bringing him from obscurity to the place he is in now. Being motivated by faith, he released his first demo project in 2007 rightfully titled "Songs of Deliverance" which put him on circuit. Then there was the Summer 2008 release of “My Endeavor” which garnered him a 2009 Rhythm Of Gospel Award nomination as “Contemporary Male Vocalist Of The Year”. New on the horizon for this mid-twenties eagle is the Fall 2009 highly anticipated release “Daniel Son” with the first single “Got Somewhere To Go” already getting great feedback from all over the world. Simply in his own words : “God’s purpose is my goal!”
